this movie ruined me... i loved it so much but this is a film you only watch once. lilja is a 16 yr old in a struggling post-soviet community and her world starts to crumble as the people around her abandon her. it's a harrowing tale of the realities of poverty and sex work and a girl betrayed by the whole world. i loved this film so much but it killed me. |
