the question that haunted the mystery of twin peaks- "who killed laura palmer?" is more than just the theme of a small town whodunnit. it is a call to action to the laura palmers of the world- those taken by senseless acts of violence, and urges people to notice the signs of victims to prevent more abuse and protect victims. to me, and many other survivors of csa, laura palmers story is a beautifully written example of the horrifc reality of everyday abuse that often goes ignored by adults.
